Hi, it's me!

How it started...

My career journey had provided me the opportunity

to become a seasoned

Marketing & Communications Professional with proven experience in: business strategy, communications, message branding, social media, and digital marketing across several large corporations in the Hampton Roads area.

In 2013, after leaving the corporate sector,

I decided to refocus my efforts on lending my expertise

to entrepreneurs, small businesses,

and local nonprofit organizations.

Still, I felt I should be doing more.

My Story...

I have had my share of personal challenges in my life.

At the age of 15, I became a lupus survivor after almost succumbing to the disease.

At 30, my life was struck by suicide when my then husband, and father of my son, took his own life after battling with undiagnosed high functioning depression.

My name became synonymous with strength, courage, and bravery amongst

friends and colleagues alike. And yet, I always felt like I was undeserving.

To me, my biggest accomplishment was being a 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐫.

That is until I realized that I wanted to do more than just 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘦.

How ARISE was born...

As much as these traumas were a part of who I was, who I am … I was ready to keep moving forward.

I picked myself up, put myself back together piece by piece, and began getting my life back on track. Then, the Universe began to reciprocate. I dedicated my time to raising my son. I found healing.

I found a woman who loves me and all of the pieces that make me well -- ME.

And as time passed I began connecting with others who, like me, were trying

to face their own seemingly insurmountable odds.

Thus with just the right amount of caffeination and motivation,

I found my calling and the ARISE was born!

The Progress and Growth Continues...

To continue that forward progression toward growth, I pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Communication,

specializing in Communication Across the Lifespan, with a minor in Psychology

from Old Dominion University.

Upon completion, I will be entering the

Graduate Program toward a Master's in

Digital & Lifespan Communication with a focus on Relationships, Health, and Wellness.

I am proud to note that as of March 2024, I will be serving as Resilience Coach with my business, ARISE Coaching & Consulting, LLC with plans to pursue  coaching certifications for grief and trauma support, as well as business resilience.

Me... personally

When I am not assisting my clients in building their resilience, I am spending quality time with my partner and fiance, Jamie Nichole, my son, Alex & his cat, Zamasu aka Zama,

and our two pups Attila and Louis.

I enjoy the beach when the weather cooperates and traveling when it doesn't!

I am a fan of concerts, amusement parks, Latin dancing, and hanging out with my friends and family.

I enjoy astrology, crystals, chakras, and the metaphysical. And I am heavily into anime.

I am most comfortable in pajamas, sweats or jeans and a tee, and snuggled up on my couch or in bed

with a plethora of streams and a good cup of java 😊
